Award Tour II
A big thanks to Owen at the Magic Lantern Show for nominating Art of the City for its second Kreativ Blogger award. Owen has been very positive about the site in recent weeks and also put me on to the genius that was photographer Fred Herzog. A Long Soak
Some day a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets.
In the meantime, we'll have to make do with bath tubs on street corners...
Call Waiting
I keep going back to the work of Saul Leiter and I think this and my last photo were subconscious tributes. In the 1940s and 50s he found great abstracts in daily city life and mixed defined detail with smooth blurs of colour in a really beautiful and bold way.
