I keep going back to the work of Saul Leiter and I think this and my last photo were subconscious tributes. In the 1940s and 50s he found great abstracts in daily city life and mixed defined detail with smooth blurs of colour in a really beautiful and bold way.

fantastic shot. I don't know that photographer, but it seems like you have absorbed his influence. Well done! re neon, you may be right, much of the classic neon in nyc was done by one company I believe...

Looks like there are a couple of new followers here already, check out Loulou's blog in India, she does beautiful work, and Amy out in California recently started a blog that I've been enjoying considerably, anyway, keep these great photos coming...
